Cursh & destroy enemy robots and tanks in this classic RTS game. Capture territories, build new robots and tanks, and finally enter enemy fort to win.

Game was published in 1996. by The Bitmap Brothers, and is still fun to play today. If you loved games like Command & Conquer, you’d play this game too.

To run this game, you need to setup DOSBox emulator available at http://dosbox.com/.

You can play this game in single player, but of course, it’s much more fun to play against your friends in multi-play mode.

Multi-play over LAN is supported, via IPX protocol. Max. 4 players are allowed to join single game. I have played in 3 player mode, against two other friends, and I have to say it’s fun and game play is really at level.

Multi-play setup

1) Locate your DOSBox configuration file.

On Linux usually at:

$HOME/.dosbox/dosbox-0.74.conf

On MS Windows, at:

C:\Users\[your username here]\AppData\Local\DOSBox\dosbox-0.74.conf

2) Configure your DOSbox with IPX protocol enabled. Edit configuration file and make sure at end it has IPX enabled.

[ipx]

# ipx: Enable ipx over UDP/IP emulation.

ipx=true

3) Put into [autoexec] section part of code to automatically connect to IPX server, and run game, so that you don’t need to manually enter it every time you start game.

[autoexec]

# Lines in this section will be run at startup.

# You can put your MOUNT lines here.

ipxnet connect bbartoka54.no-ip.org 3100

ipxnet status

mount c: /usr/share/games

c:

dir

cd Z

z.bat

In this example, game was unpacked at /usr/share/games in folder Z, and folder with games was mounted as C: drive.

IPX server is running at address  bbartoka54.no-ip.org and UDP port 3100.

I recommend that you execute these commands for the first time on DOSBox command line, and when all is right, you put them into configuration file.

Happy gaming !
